- Copying others’ work
Studying up on what it is like to go after your dreams and what it will take is a good idea; however stealing the free materials provided is not. On top of that, you will not be successful if your idea is already implemented. Be creative!
- Not caring about your mission
This may seem crazy, but it happens. If you are willing to take the leap from a full time job that pays you, you better have passion and a willingness to work long hours! Be passionate about your business idea.
- Not analyzing your audience
You need to know with whom you are working. What’s the age range, what are their passions, how much do they make in a year. This will help you gear your marketing materials and be more effective and efficient as well as save you a lot of money!
- Going at it alone
I understand saving money and you may be completely capable of doing everything a virtual assistant can do, that doesn’t mean you should. Is writing blogs your forte? Is the amount of time you put in to it worth it and making you as much money as you could be making doing what you set out to do in the first place? Make sure you weigh the pros and cons.
- Buying things you don’t need right away
You most likely have a start-up budget. Be wise when deciding what you need. Buy the essentials and then upgrade as you go along and make more money.
