How do you know if now is a good time to start a company? How do you know if you have what it takes to be an entrepreneur? Will your business idea succeed?
The truth of the matter is, you don’t really know. You don’t know if your business will succeed or if it is a good idea until you try. So the real question to ask yourself is “is that a life you would enjoy and want to walk down?” Entrepreneurship is no easy task. It isn’t a 8-5, 5 days a week sort of gig. However, if you are passionate about your idea and you like how other entrepreneurs live their life, it may be worth the time, risk, and investment.
It will take time – a LOT of time. You will probably be concerned about money more than once. That steady income isn’t guaranteed right away. But if you are resilient and are willing to push through the tough, early part, it could be one of the best decisions of your life. If this idea that you have is ACTIVE (meaning you are willing to change and adapt it) and you have a strong desire to put your all into a company even if it is hard, then your idea may be good enough.
If you want a challenge, have leadership experience and want to be in charge, have experience in the industry you are pursuing (and maybe the clients you currently have would follow you), and most importantly, you have a REAL problem in mind that your potential customers have and you think they will pay you for solving it, then go for it. Take the leap of faith and pursue your passion.
